Religious Education
The school provides Religious Education in accordance with the WELB scheme. Collective worship is also conducted three mornings per week.
Our Good Citizen Assemblies focus on areas of citizenship such as Good Manners, Anti-Bullying messages etc, class assemblies focus on Bible Stories and morals, while on Fridays local ministers participate in our assemblies. All our assemblies reflect the school's Christian ethos.
The school welcomes all pupils irrespective of belief and parents who wish, may withdraw their child from any aspect of religious education or worship.
The school encourages a charitable attitude in both pupils and staff. Some of our supported charities include:-
- Poppy Appeal
- Wings Appeal
- Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal
- 2011-2012 - Our chosen charities were the NI Children's Scanner Appeal and the British Heart Foundation
- 2012-2013- This year we have decided to support Arvalee school and Resource Centre.
