Year 7 Taster Day at Omagh High School
10th Jan 2026
Year 7 pupils from Omagh County Primary School enjoyed an exciting taster day at Omagh High School this week.
As soon as they arrived, pupils were split into four groups and taken to a series of taster classes including History, Geography, Drama, Technology & Design, and French. Each session offered hands-on activities and a glimpse into the learning opportunities available in secondary school.
To round off the day, pupils headed to the canteen to sample some of the food on offer and chat about their experiences. The afternoon finished with lots of smiles and excitement for the future.
A big thank you to all the staff at Omagh High School for their time, hospitality and enthusiasm throughout the visit. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience and greatly appreciated the warm welcome they received.
