Year 3 head to Hill@High in the glorious sunshine!

20th Apr 2026

After a busy week completing CAT assessments last week, we thought it would be lovely for all the Year 3 children to enjoy some fun outdoors and look for some signs of Spring!

Today, we visited Hill@High, and this is what we saw:

Plants- Dandelions, daffodils, daisies and tulips in full bloom. Fresh new buds on the branches and new leaves on the trees. Can you spot the daisy bracelets in our photos?

Wildlife- Birds building nests and singing loudly with fresh frogspawn and a frog in the old tyre!

Weather- Warmer sunshine and softer ground. Some children noticed less puddles and mud!

Our visit today helped Year 3 children connect classroom learning to the real outdoors, We all enjoyed looking closely at nature and enjoying the small changes to show that Spring has arrived!

We hope you enjoy the photos and look carefully to see if you can spot the camouflaged frog!
