In Numeracy this morning, Year 3 were learning about the language associated with weight. Using objects from home, we had to decide if they were less than 1 kilogram, more than 1 kilogram or 1kiolgram in weight.
It was great to guess, then test our item using the scales, then read the weight printed on the label!
We had lots of active learning, understanding that 1000g = 1 kg and 500g= 1/2 kg
