The rain stayed away while Pupils from Year 1-7 to participated in their annual 'Sports Day' event at OCPS. There were smiles all around as the boys and girls raced their way to the finish line in the sprint, sack, egg and spoon and relay competitions. A huge well done to everyone who participated in the fun. Children throughout the school were awarded with special medals in honour of their achievements.
Thank you to Aubrey Kerrigan for being the “Master of the Starting Line”, McBride's Spar for sponsoring the children's refreshments and to our wonderful PTFA for being on hand to assist with the running of the day.
Last but certainly not least, a special word of thanks to all of the parents who came along to provide the all important support at the sidelines. Without you these events would not be the same! A particular mention must go to the grown-ups and toddlers who completed in their own fun races. As you will see from our photographs the dad race was not for the faint hearted!
