We took four Year 6 teams across to Campsie Playing Fields to take part in Omagh High School's World Cup themed soccer tournament. Each of our teams were given a country to represent - we were Spain, USA, Belgium and Mexico. Unfortunately Wales was not available as somehow they didn't qualify. Each team played four action packed matches with lots of goals, tackles and saves.
Our Mexico team won all their matches in the group stage so they progressed to the semi-final stage where we won a very tight fixture against Portugal. After playing some lovely football throughout the tournament we couldn't quite get the result against a strong Netherlands (Gibson again). Ah well!
