November in Year 4
Year 4 have had a wonderfully busy and playful month of learning! We began our brand-new writing unit, Poetry, in the Forest, where we explored the sights, sounds and feelings of the woodland. We also spent time outside as part of our connect and nurture in the forest sessions, using nature to inspire creativity and wellbeing.
We have enjoyed our final few weeks of Scottish dancing with Ruth, building confidence, teamwork and rhythm while having lots of fun.
This month we recognised Anti-Bullying Week. We discussed what bullying behaviours look like, how they can affect others, and—most importantly—how we can use our power for good to make our school a kind and supportive place for everyone.
In Numeracy, we have been working hard on place value, and in Literacy we have been practising how to use commas and question marks accurately in our writing.
As always, in Year 4 we love to make our learning playful, meaningful and fun—and November has been full of wonderful moments that show just that!
