Health and Wellbeing Week 2026 in Year 7! 🌞😄
This week in P7, we focused on health, wellbeing and connection through a series of themed days.
Mindful Monday
We started the week by slowing things down with breathing exercises, helping us feel calm and ready to learn. The children then created fantastic wellbeing posters using Adobe Express.
Take It Easy Tuesday
A gentle day spent at home resting up or doing other fun activities for St Patrick's Day!
What’s on Your Plate Wednesday
We explored healthy eating by sorting foods into different groups and learning about balanced diets. The children really enjoyed sorting the foods in pairs!
Friendship Thursday
We took part in the Love for Life – What’s Inside workshop, where we explored what makes each of us unique and discussed the importance of positive friendships.
Later, we headed to Forest School at Arleston Park, enjoying the sunshine while taking part in our Daily Mile and a special Connect and Nurture session outdoors.
High Five Friday
A fantastic way to end the week! Our P7 Nurture in 5 co-regulators led a whole-class wellbeing session, showing great leadership and teamwork. We also enjoyed football and Golden Time outside. To finish, we completed an art activity focused on a “healthy brain,” sharing ideas on how we can look after our mental wellbeing. We also had Mandarin with Nancy, and our School Council organised a wonderful book swap—every child got to take home a new book to enjoy. 📚
Daily Wellbeing Check-Ins
Each morning, we took part in Verbal Wellbeing check-ins, giving everyone the opportunity to share how they were feeling and helping us support one another throughout the week.
P7 had a wonderful week full of learning, reflection and fun.
