Year 6 took a trip to Arleston Park today to get involved in the RSPB Great Garden Bird Watch.
We came armed with bird identification sheets and clipboards and some people even brought their binoculars!
We managed to spot a variety of birds including magpies, robins, jackdaws, sparrows and mallards on the pond. We think we saw a seagull but what it was doing in Omagh we will never know.
When we returned to school we continued bird watching in the school gardens but as there was a distinct lack of birds we decided to make bird feeders to encourage our feathered friends to return.
We are looking forward to Monday to see what the birds have eaten.
