Fractions in Forest School
28th Apr 2026
Mrs Brown's P5 class visited Forest School to explore fractions through a range of practical and hands-on activities. Children took part in a bean bag toss to identify equivalent fractions, collected sticks and leaves to make fractions of amounts and worked together to solve a code.
Using natural resources and outdoor challenges helped make fractions meaningful, engaging and fun, while encouraging teamwork, problem solving and active learning in a woodland environment.
