Today Miss Lockington's Year 5 class headed to Forest school to look for signs of autumn. We started with a leaf search and then collected sticks and leaves for an art project. Using measuring tapes, string and a complicated Mathematical equation we were able to calculate the age of some of the trees in the forest. We were surprised at how old some of the trees were. Back in the classroom we got creative and used the items we had selected to create a picture. Fabulous use of natural materials and our imagination.....well done Year 5!!
