April in Room 1

3rd May 2022

Room 1 have had an amazing April.  We made a video for the school website to mark the beginning of Autism Appreciation Month.  We are very proud of our video and hope that you enjoyed it.

As part of our celebrations we completed a craft activity supported by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council called Creative Butterflies.  We used coloured paper and stuck it to the card template to create a stained glass affect butterfly.  The council also provided wooden butterflies for us to decorate.  We think they turned out really well.

We made slime in sensory play and really enjoyed hiding different objects in the bowl and finding them.  The slime was very messy.

We worked on our balancing skills in PE.  Walking along a bench and balancing a bean bag was difficult to begin with.

We hope you like the photographs showing Room 1 hard at work.
