A busy start to the year in Year 5!
6th Feb 2026
We have all settled in to Room 15 since returning to school in January.
We have had a very busy term. We were greeted by a lot of snow for the first few days and plenty of fun was had in the field, sliding down hills and attempting to build some snowmen.
We have brushed up on our 3D shape properties and used clixi to make nets of a cube.
We have enjoyed our Nurture in 5 and Connect and Nurture sessions in the classroom, particularly using our finger to draw letters on our partner's back.
We had a trip to Harold McCauley House as part of our intergenerational programme. We enjoyed playing board games with the residents.
To mark Mental Health Week, we each created a "tile" showing that we belong. We added all of the things that make us us and put them together for a lovely display.
We also celebrated Number Day by creating a poster of numbers about us. We added lots of colour and detail as we went along.
