Year 1 BLAST OFF into the new year!!
We were delighted to welcome Year 1 back to school after the Christmas break. It was lovely to hear everyone's holiday news and to see their detailed pictures of their favourite presents.
The snow was a lovely surprise on Monday morning. We had so much fun playing with our friends in the field. Can you spot us in the photographs?
On Thursday, we were excited to welcome Heidi and Stanley from McLaughlin and Harvey to OCPS. Inspired by our Polar Express Day, they told us all about their job as railway engineers and helped us learn how to keep safe when travelling on a train. We have made it our mission to take a trip on a train in 2026!
This week also marked the beginning of our new topic...SPACE! We have been busy planning for our new theme. Don't forget to collect junk materials at home as we will be building junk model rockets in school this month.
Have a lovely weekend Year 1. Enjoy a good rest after a busy first week back!
