Feis success for OCPS

We were delighted to have so many Omagh County pupils represent the school in The Arts category of The West Tyrone Feis this year. Performing on stage is a fantastic way of developing self confidence and we are incredibly proud of the effort every individual put into their own act.

Year 1 explore ‘Which Nest Is Best?’ at Forest School!

P1 had a wonderful time at Forest School this week.
We explored the outdoors using our senses, listening carefully for birds and trying to identify the different sounds around us. The children then worked in pairs to build nests for their “precious eggs” — some were small and cosy, while others were cleverly hidden high up to keep them safe from predators!

Ulster Mini-Rugby Blitz at Omagh Accies

Omagh County had a fabulous morning at the annual Omagh Mini-Rugby blitz.
A lot of local teams from Omagh and Fermanagh took part. Omagh County played matches against Killyman, McClintock, Gibson, Moat, Cookstown and Enniskillen Model. OCPS pupils support Jordan and Cain Adams

Today, pupils from Omagh County PS showed their support for Jordan and Cain Adams as they continue their incredible journey across Ireland. The brohters are taking on a truly inspiring challenge - running 32 marathons in 32 days across all 32 counties. Fractions in Forest School

Mrs Brown's P5 class visited Forest School to explore fractions through a range of practical and hands-on activities. Children took part in a bean bag toss to identify equivalent fractions, collected sticks and leaves to make fractions of amounts and worked together to solve a code.
