Today Miss Lockington's Year 5 class headed to Forest school to look for signs of autumn. We started with a leaf search and then collected sticks and leaves for an art project. Using measuring tapes, string and a complicated Mathematical equation we were able to calculate the age of some of the trees in the forest. "All was quiet in the deep, dark wood".... but in nursery, the boys and girls were busy making owl ice cream, scrambling up some snake and roasting fox! They also made a delicious Gruffalo crumble! As a special treat, we visited Year 1 to watch the Gruffalo movie and the children couldn't believe they knew the words as the story progressed.
