Gruffalo Day in Nursery!

"All was quiet in the deep, dark wood".... but in nursery, the boys and girls were busy making owl ice cream, scrambling up some snake and roasting fox! They also made a delicious Gruffalo crumble! As a special treat, we visited Year 1 to watch the Gruffalo movie and the children couldn't believe they knew the words as the story progressed. Well done to all who dressed up - you looked fantastic!

Year 1 were excited to begin their new topic of ' AUTUMN ' this week.
We loved observing the changes at Hill at the High and even collected some colourful autumn leaves to bring back to our classroom. In school, there was lots of excitement over the introduction of new toys. The October dressing up box proved very popular, everyone had lots of fun reenacting 'Room on the Broom'.

What an exciting day P.3 enjoyed today! Firstly, a visit to Mulligans bakery, where children got to see the big ovens and mixers where all the sweet treats are made. Then children got to decorate a cupcake with lots of delicious sprinkles and spooky toppers! They tasted delicious! 🍩 Then, an unexpected trip when we were up town, brought us to see the 'Scarlet Thread' exhibition in St Columba's...
