February in Room 1

February was another busy month in Room 1. We continued to learn about different cultures and celebrations.
We are learning how to use our class iPads and laptop in ICT to complete create documents and pictures.
We celebrated World Number Day and made exploding numbers in our sensory art activity, it was lots of fun.

This week, the boys and girls in P1 had great fun making preparations for spring on the farm. Pedigree sheep, cows and pigs were washed, brushed and polished ready for Balmoral Show, new sheep pens were built, drainage ditches were dug and even the farmhouse got a spring clean.Enjoy a well earned rest this weekend boys and girls, we have another busy week ahead of us next week!
World Down Syndrome Day

Miss Lockington's Year 5 class have been celebrating World Down Syndrome day. We decorated socks and came to school wearing our mis-matched socks. We learnt what Down Syndrome is and also a few signs in Makaton too.
Rhyme Time 'Itsy Bitsy Egg Hunt'

The Easter Bunny must have heard the beautiful singing at Rhyme Time this week as he hopped by to say "hello" on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. The tiny tots impressed him so much with their dancing that he made sure to share his chocolate treats...yum yum!
